Job Title: Senior Accountant JG: L( Ref: KEMI/HR/2/7/2013 )
(Salary – Gross Salary Kshs.63,410.00)
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Accounts the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Managing petty cash and ensure proper use of institutional funds,
Receiving and receipting monies received and ensuring that the same is kept in good custody and banked on time,
Effect payments against duly authorized payment vouchers,
collect bank statements and bank balances,
Maintain up-to-date registers of daily collections and banking summaries, and to summarize and remit all sales documents to the Head of Accounts on daily basis.
Process all transactions to the financial accounting software, and attend to audit matters that may be raised.
Bachelor degree in commerce or equivalent from a recognized institution
CPA (K) qualification or other internationally recognized accounting qualification
3 years relevant work experience in a recognized organization
Conversant with public financial rules and regulations
Sound understanding and ability to use accounting software and packages
Excellent Interpersonal skills
